Okay, I have taken this from SLB's blog regarding an Open Tag. Read it! You just might be put to sleep.

How would you describe your running 10 years ago?
Hmmm, maybe "Run for the Border" -Think Taco Bell. Seems it's always been "wishful thinking" for me when it comes to fitness. I am a lazy runner by the way. At the time, I was 2 years into my marriage and working a 3rd shift job like I am now. I was working out in a gym, but my brain seemed to repel any thoughts of running.

What is your best and worst run/race experience?
Worst: The past two and only Ultras I did. Something went awry with my stomach before the races. Never did really figure it out. I think it had to do with hydration. My body seemed to shut down and stopped absorbing nutrients. I was told by Ultra Marathon Nutrition GURU: Karl King that I was drinking way too much water in the days leading up to the races.

Best: Chicago Marathon.....until Mile 17.

Damn, I need a good race experience.

Why do you run?
I have a somewhat addictive but lazy personality. It's great that I never picked up drugs or alcohol as my addiction, but running seems to do it for me. I just don't feel right unless I have those endorphins and other feel good natural drugs flowing through my body for days at a time.
I run to stay in shape mentally and physically which is difficult to do anymore.
Actually, I am a glutton for punishment.

What is the best or worst piece of advice you've been given about running?
That I should not run during the week, but just do a 20 miler every Sunday. (This was when I was running strictly pavement). Yeah, this is what started all my injuries in 2005. Smooth Move!
The Best peice of advice I have ever been given has been from myself: Don't try and emulate a damn thing other people are doing. Do your own thing and be original. AND...Don't try and "Keep Up" with someone. Their actions may fit them, but most of the time will not fit me or my mechanics.

Tell us something surprising about yourself that not many people would know.
I was shot by a 12 gauge shot gun point blank when I was 13. TRUE! I have the scars to prove it.
I have had a lot of people call me an idiot and what not since it was me who was holding the gun. It was a hunting accident that I had no control over. It's not like I did it on purpose or was "playing" with the gun. I typically never tell anyone since peoples reactions are just that. They react that way since they don't understand. That is human nature. We make fun of what we don't understand. It still affects me to this day mentally and physically. But, for the most part, you would never know it.

Apparently if you’ve just read through this and have a blog and haven’t partaken consider yourself tagged. Do it and let me know you've done it so I can read it.
